Artist Trading Cards at Jerry's!
A little history and an explanation:
Artist Trading Cards grew out of the Mail Art movement of the '60s. Their beginning is credited to the Swiss artist M. Vänci Stirnemann in the mid 1990s, when he started creating and trading cards roughly the size of a baseball card with friends and other artists. The movement caught on and has become something of a global phenomenon.
There are a few rules to it - Any medium can be used (collage, pencil, paint, pens, fabric, etc.) and the card must measure roughly 2.5 x 3.5 inches. They have to be traded - not sold! And the ATC must be signed and dated on the back. That's all there is to it!
To get started, come on in and check out the Trading Center and the other cards that people have posted. Throughout the month we will be posting our favorites here & on our Facebook page. And feel free to scan your own and post them to our page!
For more info & lots of great ATC stuff to come, keep checking back here, like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter!
