Announcing Kids Art Classes at Jerry's

We are extremely excited to announce that starting in January we will be offering KIDS ART CLASSES! We've partnered with Art Amore Austin to bring to you three awesome classes for your art-inclined kiddos.

Those classes are:

Art Discovery

6 to 9yrs (Saturdays 12-1pm $80 monthly) 

In this engaging class, students will develop drawing, painting and clay skills while learning fundamental art elements: line, shape, texture, color, value and space.

Our fun projects are geared towards developing skills within each theme, while also encouraging individual creativity and expression.  

While many of the projects are guided, each student works with his or her own vision and produces a unique finished piece.

Comicbook Workshops

10yrs & up (1st & 3rd Saturday 2-4pm $39 per class/ $80 per month) 

In this fast-paced workshop, we will cover color theory, storytelling and drawing techniques.  We play games, create comic strips, design our own trading cards and will complete an original comic book. We will cover many different styles of comic story telling, including cartooning, Manga and graphic novels.  

Drawing Intensive

10yrs & up (2st & 4rd Saturday 2-4pm $39 per class/ $80 per month)

Drawing Intensive is intended for  students at beginning and intermediate levels of skill and confidence. It's a completely safe, relaxing, non-judgmental environment where students are taught how to use art techniques to create realistic drawings and sketches.  

As students become familiar with basic drawing skills (proportion, perspective, shading etc), new mediums like comte, charcoal, ink and digital are introduced and students are encouraged to experiment with the techniques and visual effects that each medium allows.
